This album portrays the story of Antoine De Saint-Exupéry’s beloved classic, The Little Prince, through a seven-movement suite written for jazz quartet and string quartet. This is a live recording of a concert that was held May 8th, 2016 at the Alliance Francaise Theatre in Toronto, Ontario, through a collaboration between the Alliance Francaise and Spectrum Music. In the concert, the music was accompanied by French-language narration of select passages of the text. In this recording, the French narrator's mic has been muted, and English narration has been overdubbed. (To hear the original French narration, see "La Suite Du Petit Prince.)

This recording is dedicated to my mother, who first gave me a copy of The Little Prince when I was ten, and my seventh grade English teacher, Wanda McKay, who nurtured my appreciation for it. My mother died of cancer shortly before I finished composing the suite, and Mrs. McKay died of cancer shortly afterwards. All proceeds from this recording will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
